Q1. How do I determine my correct size?
Sizes are indicated in both European and US sizing. Since many manufacturers use slightly different size conversions between the EURO and US sizes, it is safest to measure your foot from toe to heel and use the size chart to determine which size is most appropriate. When fitting your boots, it is important to ensure that with the laces tightend, the boot wraps securely around your foot. If the heel is not locked in, stability will be compromised and you will most likely get blisters. With your toes touching the front of the toe box, you should be able to insert your finger in the back of the boot behind the heel. Overly tight fitting boots will result in your toes getting pushed into the toe box during walking or descents.
Q2. What is the warranty policy for Zamberlan products?
Zamberlan products are covered by a limited one year warranty against manufacturer's defect in materials and workmanship subject to inspection by Zamberlan. This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, abuse or accidents. Products found to be defective and covered by this warranty will be either replaced or repaired at the discretion of Zamberlan. Warranty claims must be processed through an authorized Zamberlan dealer or through Zamberlan direct.
Q3. What do you recommend for treating the leather on my boots?
Zamberlan leather boots and shoes are pre-treated during the manufacturing process with Zamberlan Hydrobloc®, a compound that enhances the water resistance of the leather and keeps it supple. In order to maintain the leather and water resistance, we recommend regular treatments of Hydrobloc® Proofing Cream or Hydrobloc® Spray Conditioner or equivalent. Zamberlan Hyrobloc® products are currently available through the Zamberlan Online Store
Q4. Are Zamberlan shoes resolable and if so, where can I get my Zamberlan boots resoled?
In most cases, Zamberlan boots have been constructed using a Norwegian welt in which the leather Upper is stitched to the sole or a lasting board method in where the outsole and midsole are cemented to the underside of the leather Upper. Norwegian welted boots are easily resoled and providing that the Lasting Board is not severly damaged and the leather in good condition where it meets the outsole on a cemented sole, your boots can be resoled. If you are unsure if the model you own is resolable, please contact a Dealer or Zamberlan direct. We work in conjunction with reputable 'cobblers' across the nation.

Q5. I purchased a pair of Zamberlans many years ago and want to repurchase the same model. But none of the stores seem to carry that model. What do I do?
Over the years, Zamberlan has produced many models of boots and shoes. While we are not able to keep every model in our collection, we have done our best to continue the most popular models. If a Zamberlan dealer does not carry the model, you may be able to special order it through Zamberlan, providing that we have the style in stock. In some cases, where we do not carry the model in stock in the US or Canada, special orders may be placed to our head office in Italy. Q6. Are Zamberlan boots waterproof?
Waterproofness and water resistance are often used interchangebly. However, they have different meanings. Waterproofness is achieved typically through the use of a membrane layer between the leather and inner lining which prevents water from entering the inner boot. Zamberlan uses GORE-TEX® technology to ensure waterproofness. Water resistance is the ability of material to shed or repel water. Since all Zamberlan products are treated with Hydrobloc during the manufacturing stage, they are considered water resistant. However, as with any material that has been treated with a water-shedding compound, it requires regular maintenance in order to maintain the water-resistance. Zamberlan recommends regularly treating your boots and shoes with either a water-based or silicon-based compound such as Hydrobloc®.There are many other quality after-market products similar to Hydrobloc™. Our only suggestion is to avoid wax-based or oil-based products as continual use of these products may clog the pores of the leather and synthetic GORETEX® membrane.
Q7. Can I replace the removable footbeds that came with my boots or shoes?
Zamberlan boots and shoes all come with removable Anatomic moisture-wicking footbeds (commonly referred to as insoles). You may replace these footbeds with after-market insoles or orthotics. However, keep in mind that any variation in the thickness or shape of the non-zamberlan footbed may result in a different fit. Whenever possible, bring your boots into the store and try on various models to ensure that you achieve the best fit. You may also purchase the same Zamberlan™ footbeds that came with your boots from the Zamberlan Online Store
Q8. Are there any Product catalogs available?
