fullgrain leather Full Grain Leather
Full Grain leather, made from the finest raw material, are clean natural hides which have not been sanded to remove imperfections. Only the hair has been removed. The grain remains in its natural state which will allow the best fiber strength, resulting in greater durability. The natural grain also has natural breathability, resulting in greater comfort for clothing or footwear. The natural Full-Grain surface will wear better than other leather. Rather than wearing out, it will develop a natural "Patina" and grow more beautiful over time. The finest leather footwear is made from Full-Grain leather. Additionally, during the tanning process, Zamberlan applies a Hydrobloc® waterproof compound to provide improved watershedding capabilities.
nubuk Nubuck Leather
A top grain leather whose surface has been buffed and brushed to create a soft, velvety effect. Differs from suede in that while suede is created from the flesh (inner) side of a hide, nubuc is created using the grain (outer) side, giving it added strength and durability. Additionally, during the tanning process, Zamberlan applies a Hydrobloc® waterproof compound to provide improved watershedding capabilities.

fws F.W.S − Foot Wrapping System
The F.W.S. consists in shaping the tongue – which is entirely part of the upper – by using special moulds designed and patented by Zamberlan. Boots built accordingly to the F.W.S. perfectly wrap any foot enhancing sensitivity, control and comfort. The one-piece leather upper ensures a greater protection from water and a greater durability is granted by the absence of stitches and pieced leather.

Registered trademark of W.L. Gore & Associates, an international corporation. In 1969 Bob Gore invented the micro porous membrane with remarkable properties of waterproofness and breathability. The effectiveness of the membrane is based on its structural characteristics. It is extremely porous, but the pores are up to 20.000 times smaller than a drop of water - yet approximately 700 times bigger than water vapor molecules produced during perspiration. Therefore, body moisture vapor can pass out through the membrane, while the wet and humidity are kept out. The GORE-TEX® membrane can be bonded to different materials, depending on its use, and used as a lining. The seams inside the boot are heat bonded/welded using GORE-TEX® tape.

This is the trade mark registered by Zamberlan to identify only the best quality leathers. We use leather for most of our boots because, quite simply, it is the best all round material for outdoor footwear. It is durable and protective, lightweight and breathable, can offer a high level of water resistance and can also be crafted into a shape to support the foot. All leathers are carefully selected in type and thickness accordingly to the requirements of the specific model. A variety of full grain, nabuk and other quality leathers are used to give appropriate performance to fit each model. All our leather is Hydrobloc® treaded for durable water resistance.
pentagrip PENTA-GRIP®
A special Zamberlan®- Vibram® project for the Zamberlan "Travel" category. It features the special hard wearing and sticky Vibram® rubber compound for great grip and traction in both wet and dry conditions on and off trail and for a smooth ride on concrete roads, combined with a soft, comfortable PU midsole forcushioning and shock absorption.

This sole from Zamberlan® has been expressly developed for backpacking use. It is the result of a combined effort between Zamberlan® and Vibram®. Based on a combination of three core components, it offers the best in function and performance. It features an aggressive Vibram® special rubber outersole with deep lugs, specifically designed and positioned to grant long-wearing traction, stability, and grip and with wide grooves for self-cleaning. Additionally, it has a low density PU midsole to provide cushioning and comfort for extended use and a TPU stabilizer to ensure maximum stability, limiting pronation and supination.

MICROTEX®
A polyester fabric with a unique weave and mesh-like structure. It helps provide maximum airflow around the foot an acts as a cushioning layer between the foot and the boot. It is resistant to wear and tear and does not compress or flatten out with extended use.
R.R.S. – Rubber Reinforcement System
A rubber reinforcement is applied to critical areas of the upper for protection, using an innovative and exclusive technical method developed by Zamberlan. The new Zamberlan® sole developed with Vibram® to obtain a remarkable package with high tech details, lightweight, attractive design, low side profile. It features a durable and high grip outsersole, TPU plate for stability and torsional rigidity, two density PU midsole for cushioning and comfort. 1. A dual density PU wedge to maximizethe foot impact absorption and offer great cushioning effect. The special grooves reduce weight and help follow the natural foot movement. 2. TPU plate with a specific design to balance the torsional rigidity and support the central part and natural foot flexion. 3. Wear resistant outersole rubber with a great grip on any type of terrain. The second color, higher density band running from the heel to toe helps improve the right touchdown and ensure maximum foot stability. The smaller lugs help improve grip, traction and adherence. The multi-directional lugs are carefully positioned to ensure maximum traction and brake, while the heel and toe have a compact area to better stand wear these more exposed zones. The wide grooves help provide the correct flexion and offer a good self cleaning action. The toe bump together with the medial elements enhance the protection and support.
