Designed for light-weight hiking, the 151 Java GT is also ideal for approach to climbing routes, or for adventure travel and every day use. The mid-height Upper design brings much of the support that a traditional high-cut boot offers, but without the weight. The durable split-leather Upper wraps snugly around your foot and the extended lacing system results in a more precise fit. The rubber reinforced toe-cap and heel-guard combined with a full-wrap around rand that protects your foot against rocks, sharp branches and other debris while also protecting the leather from detioration caused by abrasion. The waterproof breathable GORE-TEX® membrane and gussetted-tongue construction keep water out while still allowing your foot to expel moisture from within. The exclusive Zamberlan A.M.S. sole package has a nylon shank to ensure underfoot comfort and overall stability, a removable moisture-wicking anatomic footbed and a grip rubber multi-directional lugged outsole that ensures traction on those smooth, muddy, and slippery surfaces.

Great Day Hiker-I've used these for about 2 months now. They have really good support for a mid cut boot. They were comfortable right out of the box, quite light and very waterproof. Submerged them in a number of streams with no problems. Treat them with a good protectant before you use them. Very pleased.

Totally satisfied!- I am totally satisfied with this shoes. It started from the opening of the box with them and went on and on while I was hiking and walking. The first impression was: very good-looking, stylish shoes with perfect fit. I tried to walk around during the week - very comfortable, absolutely feet-friendly :) No problem from the very first day. Then I went out for the whole day on the up-and-down forest trail - I was so tired at the end, but not my feet, this shoes proved to be so comfortable! And they are light-weighted for the hiking pair, too. And such a nice grip, even in snow! Sole is very good. I love this shoes so much that I started to use them almost every day at work. The only problem is that if you are walking a lot on paved roads, the wear of sole is considerable, but that is a price for outstanding grip, I think. And also these shoes will be probably not supportive enough for the mountain backpacking, but please note that Java shoes were not created for such a purpose, you need different type of shoes for rough mountain activities. So, if you are looking for the perfect and durable hiking shoes for all kind of trails throughout whole year and so comfortable that you will want to use them as often as possible - try Zamberlan Java, you will like them.

Excellent Hiking Shoes! - The lateral support is solid on uneven terrain and works well on the more difficult (rocky) paths. Great all-day comfort and the best style / construction that I have seen in this class of hiking shoe. Highly recommended.
