Rugged Comfort! - These boots are amazingly tough, comfort out of the box with a very short break-in period. I've owned boots by Lowa, Gronell, Garmont, & Alico and as long as these boots are made I won’t buy anything else. I can tell from the quality of this boot it will be years before I need another pair. My last hike in the Gila mid May 2008, 68 miles with 65lbs. included rocky desert, 70+ river crossings & icy conditions with snow to my knees for miles, I was glad these boots were on my feet, they were never cold or uncomfortable. These boots really hug your feet all over, no slop, roomy toe box, a good stiff sole, and the adjustable tongue allows for a custom fit. With arthritis in my big toe I've never had a boot that’s kept my feet comfy over extended trips until now. I'd say these boots are overkill if your day hiking, or hiking on groomed trails with a light pack, but if you’re out with a heavy load on uneven terrain or bushwhacking, and like dry feet, buy these boots! By the way I put in a new footbed.

Very comfortable! - Very good boot, very comfortable. I'm happy with the support as a medium climbing boot. I've not used it in heavy rocks. I still prefer another thicker boot. One small detail: the Vibram yellow design on the toe - needs to go. It looks stupid. I think I'll just cut it off.
