| Most comfortable and stable ever had-This is the best boot I have ever owned. First hike in them was a ridge walk and I have never had happier feet. Took them on a five day hiking trip (Skoki Lodge) and did a fair amount of scrambling (Skoki Mountain, Merlin Ridge) with quite steep terrain. They are very stable on uneven rocky terrain and very comfortable to boot. I love the rocker sole which propels you effortlessy along the trail. Only concern is that they are scuffed easily, as no rubber covering on toe, but with feet this happy, I can cope. I have never had happier feet and I used to be the blister Queen. | |||

| Zamberlan is great-2nd pair of Zamberlan hiking boots. First pair lasted 10 years. They are great quality boots, easy to break in. Watch for Zamberlan made in Italy (all their boots). Some low cut Zamberlan shoes are designed in Italy, but made in China... not as good! | |||

| Great BootI love the *stabilizer soles. The extra security I've experienced is great! There is more room in the front foot then usual and I love that. *stabilizer soles is label I created | |||

| These boots are made for hiking- I bought my Zamberlans at the end of August to go on a 10-day canoe trip in Algonquin Provincial Park in Northern Ontario. It's a beautiful wilderness park filled with endless trails and pristine lakes, but it's quite rugged, so I was looking for a sturdy boot made with good materials and European craftsmanship. I decided on the 996 Vioz Gt-model, ordered them online, and they arrived within the week. In 10 days, we canoed and portaged a 70-mile loop. We did 27 portages (note that we did them three times because we were carrying a load)and paddled 16 lakes and two creeks. And my Zamberlan boots held up fine, supporting my feet and ankles in great comfort, protecting them from rocks and keeping them warm and dry. They even survived a wrong turn in which we ended up in black, sucking mud up to our thighs! I thought they'd never come clean afterward, but a good wash and treatment with protector brought back the sheen of the leather. I have since worn them on two (less intense) day hikes and they've been great. Needless to say, I am very happy with these boots, and I highly recommend them for both serious hiking and casual walking. | |||
